I'm tired of opening my blog to check other people's blogs and everytime feeling guilty that my last post was 4 months ago! Not saying that i'm starting anything new, but here a few quick pics.

Cade's first day of school went fairly well. I cried, he didn't. The teacher was consoling me and I felt so dumb!! Haha. Starting the school phase has been an adjustment and I am glad we get to ease into it with only 2x a week right now. Every morning he says he doesn't want to go, but when I pick him up he has had a blast.

I was the helping mom last week one day and it was so fun. It was great to chat with his teacher and to see him interact with all the little friends he has been talking about. So glad he is a nice boy! We sure do love him and miss him when he's at school though!
Lastest family picture. Probably one of the last ones with the five of us cause in 6 months we will be adding another one to the family!! So excited and we'll see if we can help Cade out and even out the numbers with another boy :) Sure do love my family!!

Well it has been way too long! I can't say I'm totally commiting myself to be a better blogger, but I'd like to think I will try! Last post was Jenna's bday, so since then we have had Ally's and my birthday's and Cade's is Monday so I thought I was definately overdue!

We had a fun Easter morning with a little candy/egg hunt from the Easter bunny and some goodies at the end of the trail.

We decided to put our house up for sale about a month and half ago and it is still for sale. We have had showings and that is a good thing, but I really want to start looking for a new house! We want to upgrade and stay in Spruce cause we really do love it here. I am trying to be paitient, but it really isn't a strong point of mine. So if you know anyone looking for a great starter home send them our way!!

Ally turned one! She is such a great little girl! She really does fill our house with fun and laughter.

Here are just a few thing she is ding at one (well 14.5 months now):

-cruising/running, climbing and getting into everything of course
-she can say quite a few words now but my fav's are still momma & daddy!

-she tries to repeat everything you tell her to, some sounds come out right and others not so much!

-eats pretty much everything...lucky me!

-sleeps great...lucky all of us!

-has curly, dark fro like hair.

-gives great cuddles and kisses

-she has an awesome new laugh that I just can't get enough of!

I turned 30 in March too! Wahoo! I love it. I can't say I really notice a difference besides the fact that I feel fabulous and I'm loving life. I took Ally and Jenna in the bike trailer this morning for a 2 hour bike ride and went and visited some family and it was awesome. Great weather and great munchkins to keep me company. Life is good! (I didn't forget Cade, he was just playing at his friend's).

Cade is in baseball right now and it is hilarious to watch. I still have to bring my camera and get some pics of it. He really loves it, especially the batting!

It has been a LONG time since I have updated this blog. It's not that we haven't been doing anything, but there really hasn't been many pictures taken in awhile. We have had a fun past month and I definately need to get back to blogging again.

We went on a little week long getaway a couple of weeks ago. We stopped in Calgary, went Magrath and surprised Jesse's grandparents and then went to the Beazer's in Raymond. We had so much fun and it was great to see family!

We went down to Calgary to meet and welcome baby Drew into the family. Cody and Carley had their 2nd boy. He is a little sweatheart and seems like such a good baby!

Ally at 11 months. She will be one soon and I can hardly believe it! She is such a little ball of energy and keeps us on our toes. She is so close to walking, but seems to think crawling is still faster. She has a few words which is so fun!

I never get bored at home. I always seem like there is so much to do! We have been doing more staying home and less running around these days. It is great! These kids are so good at entertaining themselves or playing together...most of the time.

All of a sudden Ally is pulling herself up on everything and getting into so much more! This is how she likes to spend her time these days! Empty the drawers and then putting everything back in. She is growing so fast!

This is classic Jenna! She can be such a stinker, but it so darn cute!

This is the best way to Trick or Treat with litte kids!!Can't really tell what her pumpkin is in daylight but it's Minnie!Cade's pumpkin was goofy!Jesse helping them sort the candy! We have been LOVING the nice warm weather! We have had a busy July so far....to sum up...

We went down to Raymond for July 1! Raymond can sure put on a good Canada Day party! Thanks to the Beazer's for having us. Wealso went out to Megan's cabin and celebrated my mom's bday and we went to the lake with some friends and had a GREAT time! Here are the pics in no particular order. This was Cade's first year of real soccer. He played so awesome and he had a lot of fun. We loved watching him. We learned he can get pretty fisty! He was great at scoring goals, especially when his dad was watching! Kids this age really are funny to watch. They never know which way to go, they steal from there own player and they are always in a big mass chasing the ball. He had a soccer tournament on Saturday and 30 seconds in he had a collision with another kid and got a bit of a black eye! What a trooper, but looking a little sad.
Just the beginning of many hours of watching my kids. Love it!

...and really for anyone else who cares to have a little update! Jaime so nicely reminded me that she needed to see some updates of Ally, so I finally bit the bullet and downloaded pictures from the last month or so. They really aren't in order, but I'm not going to change them around.

Feels like life has picked up a couple notches since we have had Ally. I feel a lot busier, but luckily I have been blessed with a REALLY good baby. No complaints. Everyone can be jealous that at 2 months old I only have to get up once, maybe twice a night with my little sweetie. I think we are all adjusted to the new addition to our family. Cade loves her to pieces and they are adjusting to being roomies. He is such a good big brother. I think Jenna on the other hand will always struggle with Ally getting attention and she doesn't get as much. Today she hit her on the head with a hockey stick. It was so sad and I felt pretty bad. I can't turn my back at all on her. She is always in Ally's face, whether it is trying to undress her, change her diaper or even try and pick her up. It's a love-hate thing I think. Hopefully it gets better as time goes on.

I think this was after one of those days where we were on the go all day. She has decided not to take naps anymore since we've had Ally. She is wasted by supper time, but at least it means an early bedtime and sleeping all night finally.

Ally is a very alert baby. She's been giving us BIG smiles for awhile now. Alot earlier than I remember with the other two. I still haven't really been able to capture a good one yet though. Here is a half smile!

Cade started soccer last week. It was seriously the coldest night ever and I can't believe they didn't even cancel 4 year old soccer. All the kids hands were freezing and the noses were running like crazy. The next day he insisted on wearing his full jersey all day soI let him. I figure you pay all that money, might as well get good use out of it. He had soccer tonight again and I was super mom and forgot to put the SD card back in the camera. More soccer pics to come. It is so hilarious to watch them. Go Green Gators Go!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the wonderful mom's in my life! We had a great brunch at our house on Sunday morning before church. Jesse made some amazing crepes!

I'm sure like everyone, Mother's Day is a great time of reflection and to realize the blessings we have in our lives. I feel very fortunate to have so many wonderful examples of motherhood in my life. Firstly, my own mother. She is a wondeful example of faith and trusting in the Lord. She is always there for me and my family. She would do anything for us and I so appreciate her giving heart. She loves all of her grandchildren so much and they love her (as you can see).

It is so fun to be raising children at the same time as my sister, Jaime. Our kids couldn't be more different, but it great to bounce ideas off each other or just to vent about being pooped, peed and puked on! I really appreciate how she is relaxed and patient with her kids. She lives in the moment with raising her boys and I have learned a lot from her as a mother. I love our daily phone calls as much as Casey might get annoyed at how much I call her! Wish she was closer, but so happy that they have such a great life in Raymond!

Next my mother-in-law Carolyn. She probably won't read this, but I hope she knows how much I appreciate her. She is such a hard worker. She loves her family so much and she loves to spend time with everyone. She has taught me to value the relationships that we have with our family members. She is so giving of herself and her time, even though she always has so much on the go. She has also introduced me to some really great recipes!! I know she has a great love for the gospel and has instilled it in all of her boys. SO grateful for that. Next is my Grandma. Isn't she so cute?!! She is always happy and positive no matter what the situation. She has always been a great example to our family. She is a hard worker and can never sit down! She beats us to the sink every time there are dishes to be done. Every special event in our family, she has been there. She supports us no matter what it is. My kids are so lucky to know there great grandma!

There are so many others who I look up to as mothers and have taught me a lot. Many other family members and friends help shape me as the mother I am and hope to be. THANK YOU!

We had Ally's baby blessing last weekend and it was so great. We had all of our family together and I mean all. We had all 3 set of great grandparents, all grandparents and all the aunts and uncles. We felt so supported and loved! Thanks to the Beazer's, Ririe's and Flexhaug's for coming from Southern AB. Thanks Dad for coming from Hardisty and Cody & Carley from Calgary! We didn't think it was going to happen with the crazy weather they have been having. So glad they could all come though. Lots of family pictures taken.

She finally arrived! It was a LONG wait, but Ally finally entered the world on March 16, 2010 at 4:32pm. She weighed 8lbs 13 oz and was 21 inches long. Even though I am mega sleep deprived and all those other good things that come with a newborn, I couldn't be happier that our little family has now grown to 5! She is a little doll and it is fun to see how much the other 2 kids love her. Here are a few pics from the hospital for those who won`t be able to see her for a bit (mostly you Jaime!).

Happy Birthday to Jenna today! I really can't believe she is already 2! We had a fun party with family yesterday...what a great way to celebrate Family Day! We are so fortunate to have so much family close by that could help us celebrate! We were also so happy that the Beazer's could make the trip up. We love when they visit! Jenna had a great day and she totally got spoiled.

Not a picture from the party, but had to show how into makeup she is already. She got this Barbie chapstick from a birthday party last week. She LOVED it and don't you think she looks so pretty?!Before the party started! Opening presents! Cade couldn't help himself but get involved even though it was all clothes and Cinderella.

Justin and Megan got her a princess a tent that she loves. She brought all her presents in there and hung out!

I was lazy for her birthday this year and just got an ice cream cake from DQ. She loves ice cream and it had Cinderella so pretty sure she was happy with it! Cade had to help her blow out the candles. She wasn't really getting it or she had too many people staring at her!

I finally let the kids go outside and play in the snow. I always put Cade off and told him it was too cold (which it mostly has been). So I figured I better let them out! Even though it doesn't look like it, Jenna actually liked being outside. She just wanted me to hold her hand the whole time and didn't want me to take a picture...obviously. Cade loves the snow and kept putting his face in it...weirdo! Loves to shovel. Hope he still does when he gets older.

Another Christmas and New Year's has come and gone and I feel a little sad for it to be coming to an end. It has been a wonderful holiday. Jesse had a 2 week break from school and it was so nice to be able to spend lots of time as a family. We also had lots of family come up to visit this year. I do feel very blessed to have such wonderful family in my life. Looking forward to 2010 and having our little family grow in 8 weeks!

I figured it was probably time to do a post. Can`t really say I have a lot to write about these days. We have been staying home a lot with the snow and cold. I am being wimpy and trying to avoid getting sick! We did go to Santa yesterday. Cade was super excited to go see him until the time came to actually sit on his lap and then he decided he didn`t want to. I pretty much made him and the whole time he looked so horrified! He did tell Santa a few things that he was hoping for. Santa asked him to put out milk and cookies and carrots for the reindeer. It was cute how pumped he was to do that...especially to leave carrots. Jenna was scared and clung to Grandma. She sat beside Santa for the picture. There was no crying this year...so I count the visit as a success!

I tried to take a few cute pictures of them before we went to Santa, but not so successful...maybe next year.

Pumpkin Carving

We finally got around to carving pumpkins today. I think they thought it was a good idea and would be fun, but when it came down to it, they only stuck around for the first 2 minutes and then they were gone. Cade thought it was disgusting and Jenna ate 2 raw pumpkin seeds and then that was enough for her! Cade scooping the disgusting goop! Jenna was super excited her pumpkin was done and was outside. It was really funny!

A ghost and Batman! Very original I know, but they were fairly easy and my attention span is probably just about as long as the kids!

My mom bought Cade tickets for his birthday to see Backyardigans way back in May. Today was finally the day. My mom, Cade and I went to the Jubliee for the concert. Cade loved it! Grandma spoiled him with snacks and a tshirt! What a lucky boy! I have to admit, I was pretty pumped to see how excited he would get! It was fun and next time Jenna will be old enough and she can come along too!

Well, I have been feeling like I really don't know what to blog about because I have been a super slacker the past month and have no new pictures. Looking around at other blogs though, I realized, you don't have to be doing something ALL the time or have huge events to blog about. Sadly we haven't been out and about much this past month. Jenna finally got her cast off and I was SO looking forward to playing at the park and doing the summer things that we missed out on in July. But, as many of you know, I am pregnant with #3! Yay! But unfortunately along with this pregnancy has come a lot of sickness that I haven't experienced before. So that meant a lot of laying around and really just surviving. Okay, so whatever, I'm not trying to make people feel sorry for me because it happens to many, it is really just my excuse for not taking my kids out and doing lots of fun things!

In these moments of just hangin' out at home and in between the running to the bathroom and locking the kids out and having them bang on the door, I have miraculously felt a lot of love for my two little darlings.

Cade is my little helper. He is so sensitive and tender at times and then in two seconds he can change into any superhero....really I mean any! He is totally addicted to Batman, Spiderman, Superman....you name it. It is so exciting to watch him use his imagination and play!

Jenna is truly a little princess. She is spoiled and it is starting to show! She has the most ear piercing scream when things aren't going her way. She does however have the cutest little sense of humor already. She loves to run around and be crazy and she LOVES to laugh. We are kind of scared what the future has in store for us with raising a little girl with such attitude already, but we are doing our best to keep her under control!! She knows how to give her momma hugs and kisses when needed and I so appreciate them!
Love these two crazy kids and I excited to have #3 join the family! Only 24 more weeks to go! We are going to try and find out what it is...so stay tuned!!

New addition...

No, this is not our baby! We are happy to welcome baby Eli, Cody and Carley's little boy, into the Flexhaug family. Another cousin for our kids!! Yay! Cade is excited to have another boy and Jenna seriously adores him. I think that is an understatement. She is obsessed with him. It is cute, but probably would be annoying if we saw them more! Eli was born July 23...about 2 weeks early! Lucky Carley! We love him and Cody and Carley will be the best parents! We are sad they have recently moved to Calgary, but happy that Cody is moving on with his career! We went down for the annual Magrath Days. Jesse's grandparents live in Magrath and we usually try and go every year. We stayed with Jaime and Casey (love them!) and we got to spend a little time with everyone.

Jesse's uncles live in the states so we don't see the families very much. These are a couple cousins around our kids ages. They had fun hanging out waiting for the parade. Cade's loot!The good ol' petting zoo. I have to admit that I hate petting zoos. I grew up on a farm, but I think they are kind of nasty, especially because my kids are little and put their hands in their mouths all the time. I do try and wash their hands though...honest! But the kids love the animals and had a great time. The races. Cade warming up!! He didn't really race. He kind of did a light jog. I think he knew he would get the treat no matter how hard he ran.

We even put Jenna in the race with her little splint on her arm. It was cute. She thought it was fun and ran right to me.

I'm pretty sure she was in last place, but that was okay. The slower she went, the more pics I could take.

I couldn't resist adding this picture. Poor little thing has had to wear a plastic bag on her arm almost everyday! We are almost done though. Only a week more with the splint!!

We also made a trip to Calgary Zoo. We met up with Jaime and Brody, Jill and Boston and Jolene and her 3 kids. You probably have seen this pic on Jaime's blog, but I had to post it. Cade was just really wanting to hold Brody's hand. They must have missed each other!

We spent the day in Calgary with our friends the Aneca's. They have such a fun house for little kids. Our boys are 1 week apart and our girls are 3 months apart. Now we just need to have another boy to catch up to them!!

A long July!

Yesterday we were getting ready to go out for the day to celebrate Canada Day when our month of July totally changed! Jenna was going down the stairs (like she always does) and she fell down a couple stairs and broke her arm! Jesse was right there and caught her halfway down the stairs. He came upstairs and told me she just fell and her arm looked funny. I looked at it and we really didn't think anything was wrong. She wasn't really crying and it wasn't swollen so we thought she was okay. Then Jesse put her down and she tried to put pressure on it and he said it kind of bent weird and he knew it was broken right away. We rushed into the Royal Alex hospital where my sis-in-law Julie was working! Thank you Julie! She had a bed for us and helped us right away! She said is was one of the only benefits of working in emergency! Luckily it wasn't that busy so we had x-rays done before Jesse could even park the truck! (It is the other arm!)

So she broke both bones in her forearm! So sad...I know I cried way more than she did. She was so tough. She barely cried. All the docs and nurses said that they have never seen a baby so good for a broken arm! She even fell asleep in my arms while we were waiting for the doctor.She got a beauty cast from her knuckles to almost her shoulder. Smallest cast ever! We have a follow up appointment next week at the Stollery! Maybe we'll get a pink cast! Hope this month goes by fast, even though we have to avoid swimming and playing at the park! We'll have to find other fun summer things to do!

I seriously have been tryin get this post done for 2 weeks and I just can't seem to find the time, so here is a quick one! Jaime, Casey and Brody came up for the weekend awhile ago and we had a great time with them. We went to the lame-o Valley Zoo, but still had a great time!

It was Jesse's birthday a couple weeks ago and we had a weekend long birthday for him. It was fun. He is a wonderful dad and husband...we love him!

We are so lucky to have such a fun, smart little boy! We had a family birthday party for Cade tonight. Like always, he got totally spoiled! He had such a blast and loves to be the center of attention. My best attempt at a batman cake! Could have been better, but it could have been worse! He loved it though, so it's all that matters. My baby boy is totally growing up and I love it! He is so fun. He started playing on a little soccer team last weekend. I couldn't go because I was at the Women's Conferance, but Jesse took him and took pictures for my sake. Cade told me all about it and had a great time. I can't wait to watch this weekend! Doesn't he look so old here!! My little princess supporting her brother at soccer!

I love this picture! She is crazy and will be crazy! We are happy to welcome a new family member into our family! Jordan and Julie got a new puppy! She is so adorable! We aren't sure yet what the name is, but Cade wants to name her Hank! I know they will be buddies and maybe some day I will cave and let him get his own dog.

Vacation! Warning: A lot of pictures!!

We were lucky enough to go on a holiday for the past couple of weeks. We had an amazing time. We drove down to Pam & Casey's and stayed with them for a few days and then we left our kids for 3 nights and flew to Las Vegas from Salt Lake. We took our time travelling and pretty much avoided any major freakouts during the drive. We stopped at Jaime and Casey's on the way down and on the way back (thank you Jaime!) We love visiting them!

We stopped at a couple hotels throughout the drive and when we got there, the kids were so happy to be out of the car!

We got to the Warren's the day before Easter, so the Easter bunny brought Cade his Easter treats to their house. The Easter bunny made a trail of eggs to the pile of goods upstairs. He was a little slower than Clark and Sena, but he figured it out after a few minutes.

We ended up doing a lot of fun things while we were gone. The day before we left to come home we went to the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake. I was actually quite impressed. Anything beats the Edmonton Zoo!

Jenna was very attached to me when we got home from Vegas. She still is! Vegas was definately the highlight of the trip. We had a lot of fun just walking around and looking at all of the hotels. We had both been to Vegas, but never together, so it was a lot of fun. We spent a day shopping at the outlets (my favorite!) and eating a lot of really good food.

We stayed at Treasure Island. It was actually really nice (especially for the price!) and I would definately stay there again.

We went to the Siegfried and Roy exhibit at the Mirage. It was interesting to see the white lions and tigers. They also have a dolphin exhibit now.

We went to the show "O" at the Bellagio one night. It was the only show we went to and it was totally worth it. It is amazing what those people can do! You can't take pictures during the show, so this is all I have. This is a shot of the ceiling. Everything is very extravegant.

It's tough being a 2 year old! Cade just couldn't stay awake at dinner last night. He has never done this before, so I thought it was hilarious. He was trying to eat spagetti and couldn't keep his poor little eyes open. Doing the bob! Don't laugh at the tea towel around his neck!

I thought that if I gave him an ice cream cone (his fav) that would make him wake up a little for the remainder of the evening, but nothing seemed to be working! Anytime I would ask him if he was tired he would say "no" of course!

So it was a quick bath and off to bed early! I guess all the playing outside in the nice weather wore him out! And one of Jenna of course! While Cade was dozing off, she was sitting in her high chair doing the usual screaming and hardly eating, so she got her first ice cream cone! I guess I was rewarding her craziness...whatever!

Yesterday we celebrated Jenna's first birthday with most of our family. We shoved everyone in out little house and had a great time. I feel very blessed to have such wonderful support from our families. There are so many people that love our kids so much. They have amazing grandparents, aunts and uncles! Thank you to everyone! We missed Jaime, Casey and Brody (but happy we saw them the weekend before) and we missed Cody, who was really sick! Feel better soon!

Jenna is truly my little princess. She is a blessing in our lives. She is so sweet and happy. She finally started crawling about a week before she turned one! Yay! She is mobile. Most parents would dread this, but we were happy so that she could finally get places and start entertaining herself.

Cade loves Jenna and I can already see that he will watch out for her and protect her. Jenna's birthday meal of mixed vegetables!

I have to start with this picture because I think to date, this past weekend was the highlight of Cade's 2 year old life. We went down south to Jaime and Casey's for a visit this past weekend. Cade did not want to come home, which is very unlike him. He usually loves his home, but he did not want to leave Hank. I think he would have moved in with the Beazer's if we would have let him. Between playing with the dog, Brody and going to see the cows with Uncle Casey, he was in heaven! I told him we would take a picture of him and Hank and hang it in his room....so that is my goal today, to get a picture printed for him. We had a great weekend hanging out with the Beazer's. We loved visiting Brody...even if he did scowl at us all the time!

Jaime was a good aunty and had a little party for Jenna on Sunday. It was her first birthday on Monday and we spent the day couped up in the car all day...poor little thing! Jaime was kind enough to have a little celebration while we were there. Here is a shot of the butterfly cupcakes!
She always has her tongue out lately, but she really was ready to dive into the cupcake!

This picture doesn't even begin to demonstrate how Jenna inhaled the cupcake. As Jaime said, "She put Cade and Brody to shame!" That's my girl!! Jaime and Brody invited us to go to the Stay'n Play group in Raymond while we were there. Cade was not shy at all and dove right in and played with everything as fast as he could. He loved this fireman outfit and kept trying to get Brody to put the other one on, but he wasn't as into as Cade was.

The kids and I just hung out tonight and it was a really fun Friday night. Jesse went to the hockey game with his brother so we had the night to ourselves. Cade woke up from a nap (which he rarely takes) super grumpy. There didn't really seem to be anything I could do get him to snap out of it....you call know those moods! So I decided it would be fun to make sugar cookies, since he likes to help me so much. So we had a HUGE mess, but everyone was happy and high on sugar! Jenna enjoyed her first taste of sugar cookie and kept wanting more...as you can see by the lip licking! Cade's work station....

We finally took Cade's new toboggan for a test run on Monday. It was so nice out! He was loving the snow and getting pulled everywhere! Jenna did her usual and just chilled in the stroller. She seriously did not move the whole time, just soaked in the Vitamin D! My beautiful sister in law Julie came sledding with us. She is such a good aunty. She took Cade down the hill for his first run!

I have to say today was a bit of a rough day all around for my little family. We just seemed to have a busy day, which probably isn't much different than most everyone else. But it seemed especially hectic...probably because I was so spacey! I was doing some waxing for a client and my kids are usually really good and will entertain themselves. When I'm busy, Cade's special treat is dunkaroos. So, I gave him a package and he went and watched Diego while Jenna just did her usual and rolled around on the floor. So I must have really been into the waxing and it had been a few minutes and I didn't really hear a peep from Jenna. I looked over and she had snagged Cade's empty dunkaroo container and was going to town on the chocolate icing. She had it everywhere! In her hair, in between her toes and she just kept licking her lips, enjoying every minute of it!

We had a wonderful Christmas and I feel like it is still going!

We have had a busy week and my kids are totally wiped out, but we had so much fun hanging out with family this week. We went to my mom's on Christmas Eve. Jaime, Casey and Brody came up for Christmas, so it was so fun to spend time with them and be entertained by cute little Brody.

This year, it advanced to a few Christmas outfits and some creepy, creepy mustaches. I wish I got a close up of Jesse's vest! It was soooo awesome!

My Christmas present this year was a new camera that I LOVE. Jesse had been stashing money for the last 5 or 6 months so he could actually get me something without me checking the bank account. I was really wanting a new camera, but didn't think it would happen for awhile. He surprised me with it on Christmas Eve. He is so thoughtful and such a wonderful Dad and husband. I feel so blessed to have my little family. I love them all so much!!

So Jenna is almost 10 months old and she has no interest in crawling. She is finally starting to roll around and today she actually stays on her stomach for more than 2 minutes!

But, this is what happens....major freakout!
Cade has been loving the snow. We got him a little shovel and some new winter boots and he can stay outside forever. I don't understand how little kids don't get cold?!

So, apparently this post is way past due! I thought this week was going to be a nice relaxing week, but I guess I'm just not capable of it! I have started several projects that are all kind of mid point and it's already Thursday...only two more days! I really haven't been very good at taking pictures lately, so here are just a few! You have probably seen this picture or something very similar on Jaime's blog, but we went down for Brody's 1st birthday in November and had a blast! Cade sure loves his cousin and the new puppy! He is still talking about it weeks later. So, happy birthday to the cutest little one year old!

Cade expereinced his first hockey game this past weekend. We took him to watch his uncle's battle it out on the ice! It was an exciting game even for men's hockey. Uncle Jord gave him a puck and Uncle Justin cut down one of his broken sticks down to Cade size. He LOVES them. He had to sleep with the puck for a couple nights in a row and I'm pretty sure he has the most expensive hockey stick of any 2 year old around! As much as I try and keep hockey out of his system, it just keeps creeping in!

We have had a busy month...like always! It never seems to slow down. Jesse is just about done school for the year and in the middle of exams. I have been taking a nail course to do gel nails. It is a little more challenging than I was expecting, but it will be great once I get more practice in. I have also decided to take a short waxing course and that will also help bring in business. I just need to think of a cute business name that's not "Jackie's nails" and then I will be set! My mom and Megan were so gracious with their time and they came to be models for my class. They were both so supportive! Thank you Mom and Megan!!

This year Cade is finally old enough to actually enjooy Halloween! He dressed up as Batman and Jenna was the cutest little flower ever! We did the whole trick or treating thing and Cade went to a few houses and then said he wanted to go home. We didn't fight him! He already had a full bucket of candy and that was plenty!

I had to take a few pictures of the kids new outfits! Cody (Jesse's brother) was just in Vietnam on a medical mission and he brought the kids back these awesome outfits. I think they look pretty good! Cade loves wearing it. He thinks they are pajama's. This one looks a litle decieving like she is standing, but she is really balancing against the couch! Cade was doing some sort of kung fu moves in thes next few.

Well, I am copying Jaime's post and listing some of my favs. I know she won't expect me to do this, but here we go...

10 Simple Things!

1. Only having to get out of my bed once in a night. I know everyone loves this one, but I really love it right now because it rarely happens.

2. Shopping and actually having money to spend without feeling quilty!

3. When Jesse cooks supper! He's a better cook than I am.

4. A night out with my husband, even if it's just an hour.

5. Fast internet.

6. Pushing my kids on the swing at the park. They both love it so much.

7. When Cade can wear a pair of pants for more than one day before they have to be washed. Not a fan of laundry!

8. Ice cream

9. A fast clerk at the grocery store.

10. Hitting all green lights on the way to church when you are running a late, which is us every Sunday!

Not too much going on with us. We have been home quite a bit, which has been great! I enrolled in a gel nails course, so I am looking forward to that next month. I will set up in the basement. I think it will be fun. I have also started to get busier with Shade, which is nice while Jesse is in school. He is liking school and the change of pace from work.

The kids are doing well. Cade has taken a liking to Shrek and wants to watch it ALL the time. It is nice the first couple times so I can get things done, but now I feel like he is a couch potato and he is only 2. We have been trying to get him busy with other things so he doesn't want to watch tv so much. I think it is the start of a life long struggle of no tv or video games. He is already obsessed with the Wii controllers. He always wants to play MarioKart with Jesse. He thinks he's playing anyway!

Jenna is 7 months today! She is sitting up, so I had to get a picture. She is a bit tippy still, but we pile the pillows around her. I took a few pictures after church last Sunday of her and Cade of course wanted in on that too. I know I am her mother, but I think she is getting pretty darn cute!

This past week was pretty exciting/busy for us.

Jaime and Brody decided to come for a visit (YAY!) while her carpet got replaced. We had a lot of fun hanging out with them! Brody has already grown so much and they have only been gone a month! Jaime is such a good friend and sister. Good thing she is, because she witnessed and had to put up with all my absent-mindness (if that is a word) this week. One day I backed over my nice new double stoller and wrecked one of the wheels. I didn't realize that I did wreck it at the time and just threw it in the back of the Envoy. The next day Jaime and I decided to take the kids to the mall and go shopping. I pulled the double stroller out for Cade and Brody to share and realized that the tire was turned in and there was no way it would work. So, a long story short, we ended up renting those little car stroller things in the mall and I ended up carry Jenna the whole time and pushing Cade. In the end, I think it worked out better. The boys loved their rides and Jenna was so happy to be carried the whole time! Oh ya and that morning, before I picked Jaime up for shopping, I had the kids and strollers all ready in the car and I realized i locked my keys in the house! Ya, not the smartest thing I have ever done! I borrowed my neighbors phone and luckily my mom saved the day and had our spare key with her. She saves the day a lot!!

The kids had lots of bonding time and Cade loves "Brobro" (Cade language for Brody). They were waiting for the garbage truck. The 3 grandkids. Brody is always posing! Jenna looking a little cranky! She is 6 months old already!
Jesse's brother Trevor came home from his mission on Monday night. He served in Monterray (probably spelt it wrong!) Mexico mission. We were all so excited to see hime. He left when Cade was 3 months old, so it was like having a new uncle! Cade went to him right away and gave him a big hug. We went to the airport at 10pm and Cade was a little loopy, but he did well. We have been at the Flexhaug's almost every night this week hanging out and spending time with Trevor. All of the grandparent's came on the weekend and then Sunday Trevor spoke at church and did a great job! It is so amazing the hear his testimony and experiences. He is trying to teach Cade spanish. Between him and Diego, I'll never understand him!

We had family pictures on Sunday after church. I downloaded the worst picture, but I don't have time to change it, so this is it! I have wonderful in-laws and we have a lot of fun together! I am blessed!

Besides that, not too much else going on. Jesse started school today, so we are starting our 10 weeks of being poor and on EI. It will be a long 10 weeks being stuck at home without a car, but hopefully that will mean I will get all of my projects done that I have been meaning to do. I am grateful for a hard working husband, school is not his first choice, but it means more money so we like that!! Jenna is going to FREAK out soon and Cade keeps coming out of my closet with random shoes on and Jesse's ties so I better get them under control!

I've laughed at my kids a lot today. Jenna had her first taste of vegetables and LOVED it. She was so funny and I couldn't feed it to her fast enough. While I was feed Jenna, Cade was..... ...rolling out a slice of bread on the kitchen floor?! For those of you who know Cade, you know that loves to "cook".
After he was done "cooking", he was sitting down at his picnic table outside to enjoy his meal! What a funny guy sometimes! I sure love them!

A bit of a holiday!

OK, so this is probably my 10th time sitting down trying to get this post done. I hope this time I will finally get it!

Well we had the chance to get away for a little bit of a holiday. We went down to Magrath, Mountain View and then to Kallispell for a few days to do some shopping. We visited both of Jesse's grandparents and was great to see them and spend time with them. I didn't take a tonne of pictures, but here are a few....

Summer Time!

Okay so my goal this time was to post my next post before Jaime. I know that is nerdy, but she is so on top of things and I am so not. She seriously takes pictures for me all the time. If it wasn't for her, this blog would not exist. We have had a fun couple of weeks. I am done babysitting now...yay! It is nice to have my freedom back. We have had several outings....

We went to my dad's rodeo Saturday in the middle of no where! We had fun even though we didn't get to stay the whole time. Cade loved to be with `papa` and look at the horses and other animals.

Happy 50th Birthday Mom! Can you believe she is 50! We got a group of friends and family and we went to Jublilations Dinner theatre and had a wonderful evening. Cade advertising for Realty West!
We went to the festivities in Spruce Grove on July 1st. Cade is in the fire truck. He didnt want to get out. Probably because there was lots of buttons that he wasn`t supposed to touch!"

We also went swimming with the Flexhaug;s in the Gibb`s pool on July 1sr. It wa great to cool off . This was Jenna`s first time in the pool. I`m not sure if she really knew where she was, but she seemd to like it.

Other exciting things this past week;

Jenna got her first teeth already!

Cade learned how to say a tonne of new words.

Decided we are going on a little trip to Kallispell when we go down south in a few weeks.

An update...finally!

I have been so busy/lazy that I haven't been able to sit down and update for awhile. Thanks to Jaime bringing her camera everywhere, I actually have some pictures to post. Some might be repeats on her blog, but she is kind enough to share her pictures and take pictures of my kids for me when we go on our outings!

We have had a busy couple of weeks. We are totally loving the beautiful weather and we have been outside quite a bit. Here are some pictures of our last few weeks:

We went to the zoo with Pam and her kids, Jaime and Brody, Kristi and Elliott and Karli and her kids. This is Cade checking out the sea lions!

This is kind of a creepy picture, but it is Cade at the tri-leisure center. We have made a few visits lately with some of our friends! He love sit there. I was tryingt o get hin to look through the telescope, but I think he was yelling in it.

On Saturday we went to the outdoor pool in Stony Plain. It was a hot day so we went and cooled off. Cade drove around his little car almost the whole time, then he passed it off to Brody!

Happy 2nd Birthday to Cade! His birthday was last Friday and he is finally 2 years old! It seems like he has been 2 for awhile, mostly cause he is such a big kid! We had a pretty boring day on his birthday with so much going on around our place. My mom took us to McDonald's so Cade could play in the play place. We also went on a big exciting trip to Wal-Mart and Cade got a little fishing rod and big ball for his birthday. I am a boring mom and didn't even wrap them for him. He still loved them and didn't seem to care.

My mom had a party for Cade, Casey and Jesse's birthday on Sunday. Cade and Casey share a birthday and Jesse's isn't until this coming Friday. It was a good time with the all the family and Cade got spoiled...like usual!

Justin got Cade some little lacrosse sticks that he LOVES! He has been sleeping with them for the past couple of nights. This is Justin teaching Cade how they work. He doesn't quite get it, but still loves the idea.

This past week was also really busy around the house. Jesse has been busy working on the yard. He got a tonne done thanks to the help from many! He built a fire pit, garden, and a couple of planters. He also got all of the fence posts in and the dirt spread. Next step is the sod...which I cannot wait for! He has worked so hard so we can have a yard and I love him to death!!

My grandparents came over and helped me plant my garden because I really have no idea what I'm doing! They are such wonderful grandparents and would do anything for any of us. I got lots of gardening advice and hope that everything grows now and I don't kill it. It is kind of fun, but I feel like it is a big job to take on. Now I just need to plant flowers...the fun stuff!

I have been busy with Shade and trying to grow my business. I think I had 10 shows in May...which was great, but kind of insane with everything going on. We are lucky to have family so close to help us out. May has been a little ridiculous, so we hope June slows down just a tad so we can get out and enjoy the nice weather and our little kids!

3 months old already!

Happy 3 months to Jenna!! I can't believe she is already 3 months old. She is doing really well. She is smiling and "talking" tonnes!! We've gotten her to giggle a couple of times. We try so hard, but she just looks at us like we are the crazy ones. She is growing really fast! I have had a couple of challenging weeks with my little Cade. We started potty training and it is definately harder than I thought it would be. He is doing fairly well, but he still has the odd accident. He will be turning 2 next week so I am really proud of him!

He has also decided that he needs to get into the fridge ALL of the time. It drives me nuts. The other morning I was in the shower and I came downstairs and he had pulled out 4 blocks of butter, a frying pan and several stirring utensils. He was pulled up to the stove (without it on, thankfully) and was stirring away. Not too sure what he was planning to make, but I caught him in the act! What a little stinker sometimes!!

We are loving the warm weather. Jesse started a bit of planning for our yard and we are going to start this next weekend. I can't wait for grass and a fence so Cade can be outside and run around.

I have been busy with Shade and getting my butt whipped into shape at a class at the tri-leisure. It is fun, but challenging. I think I am the slowest runner of all time, but at the end of the night, I actually feel pretty good. Nothing else really going on. Not too many pictures this time, cause I'm a slacker and haven't taken enough!

Just as I suspected, I haven't been so great at updating. I mostly forget to take pictures when we do something fun, so I have nothing to post. Seems like we have been busy the last few weeks. I'm not sure with what, but I feel busy! We went to the zoo last Saturday with the Beazer's. It was lots of fun! Here's a few pictures from the outing...

Cade looked in every window and through every fence even if there weren't any animals. Lots of the animals were still inside.

Brody just hung out and looked cute! Not sure if he really even knew we were at the zoo, but he kept losing his shoes and that was the most eventful thing for him!!

Well, not too much going on this week since we have been stranded by our lovely Spring weather. Will summer weather ever come? We did manage to go to the park last week before the snow came. It was quite the outing with Cade and Jenna and the two girls I babysit, but we managed and the kids had a great time.

Jenna is growing so fast and starting to smile and talk lots. We have her 2 month shots today...never a fun time. I probably hate it more than they do. I tried so hard to get her to smile for the camera, but for some reason my kids like to close their eyes when they smile. I never did end up getting a smiling picture...we are still trying, but these are pretty close.

Cade loves to have his picture taken, especially when I am trying to get a picture of Jenna. He's such a handsome little guy!

Cade always wants to hold Jenna. He tries to be a good big brother, but Jenna usually ends up crying and he just doesn't understand why!

Jenna's Baby Blessing

Well, I have been thinking about starting a blog for awhile, but I finally worked myself up to it. I am not the best updater, but will try my best!

We had Jenna's baby blessing yesterday and it was such a great day!

We had lots of family to support us. Jesse's grandparents both came from southern Alberta and we were so happy they were able to make it. My grandparents recently returned from Arizona and we are all so happy they are home! Jenna and Cade are so lucky...they have 11 granndparents living...even a great great Grandma!

We had the baby blessing at church and then everyone came over to our place for lunch. Our little house was extremely full, but we were so happy everyone could come. Jenna is a wonderful blessing in our lives and we were thrilled everyone could share the day with us!

Cade was also fully enjoying all of the company. He loves to go outside and would try and get anyone to take him out. Julie was being the fun aunt and kept taking him out. She was trying to get him to come in, but as soon as they did, he would bring her shoes to her and give her the sad eyes and she caved everytime. He knows how to get her...she couldn't resist! Thanks Julie!
